Grace Terry, MSW, (a.k.a., “Amazing Grace”) is a wise woman in the time-honored tradition of the Wounded Healer. She brings to her work an extraordinarily helpful combination of professional training and lived experience.
Grace earned her Master of Social Work degree in 1980 and has been successfully practicing as a professional helper since then. She has extensive experience in mental/behavioral health and wellness, substance abuse treatment, hospice social work, medical social work, and geriatric care. In addition to having been a licensed mental health professional for over twenty years, she is now an “authorpreneurial” mind/body/spirit wellness coach specializing in helping those who have experienced traumatic loss achieve peace, serenity, resolution and integration of grief.
She also is a trusted resource --
She offers training and consultation especially designed to help the helpers.
In facing her own challenges with childhood abuse and neglect, multiple traumatic losses, chronic pain, food addiction, clinical depression, and crippling anxiety, she has gained empathy, insight, and practical skills which she generously passes forward to others. Her coaching/training/mentoring are all spiced with Southern wit, folk wisdom, and charm.
Grace is also a gifted writer and published author. Both her books
are available for purchase on the next web page.
She is also a sacred storyteller, workshop and retreat leader, ordained interfaith minister, and an inspirational/motivational/humorous speaker. She has special sensitivity and interest in serving those who identify as “spiritual but not religious.” Skilled and knowledgeable in responding to many facets of human experience, her primary focus now is providing grief education/training and grief coaching/mentoring services.
With compassion, eloquence, infectious humor, and finely attuned intuition, she is a transformative channel for healing and peace. Those who know her well often spontaneously call her “Angel Grace.”
Grace is available by appointment for individual, family, or group consultation, for leading workshops and retreats, and for keynote speaking. Her standard fees are moderate and flexible. She also regularly offers workshops and discussion groups on-line in exchange for a free-will donation or “pay as you are led.”
